About James Saviers
Born in Texas, Dr. Saviers moved to Fort Smith, AR, at the age of 3. Dr. Saviers was the student body president of Southside High. He graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1975 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology. In 1978, he graduated with his DDS from the University of Tennessee’s College of Dentistry as a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon and the Dean Honorary Odontological Society. In 1979, he returned to Fort Smith to open his practice: Family Dental Care of Fort Smith. He and his wife Barbara have three kids; James II, Kelly Ann, and Robert; and two grandkids; George and Harris.
Dr. Saviers continues to be a critical member of the Fort Smith community, sitting on the advisory board for the following: First United Methodist Church, Salvation Army, Fort Smith Downtown Rotary Club, Fort Smith Boys and Girls Club, River Valley Dental Association, American Dental Association, Arkansas State Dental Association, and Northwest District Dental Association.
